Since 1973, Trócaire has been challenging injustice and providing support to people living with its effects.
Trócaire turns the compassion of the Irish people into life-changing support for some of the world’s poorest people.
They partner with communities in 23 countries to relieve poverty and tackle injustice. They do this thanks to the support of people all over Ireland, as well as with the help of their institutional partners.
Trócaire envisages a just and peaceful world. They support people regardless of culture, ethnicity, gender or religion.
Trócaire is the Irish language word for “compassion”. For 50 years, Trócaire has put the compassion of Irish people into action.
Trócaire is an agency of the Irish Catholic Church. They are the Irish member of the Caritas Internationalis federation.
