Advisory and Complaint Board Member
Chris Adams brings 33 years of experience in community development in Australia and international aid development in Asia to his role on HQAI’s Advisory and Complaints Board.
He first worked on housing and homelessness issues for eight years, both as part of an intentional community and in homeless person services. For the last 25 years, he has worked with aid and development NGOs head quartered in Australia, Thailand and Hong Kong in a variety of roles, including director, program manager, researcher and consultant. Since returning to Australia in 2013, he has worked as the Director of Development Effectiveness with the Australian Council for International Development, the peak body for Australian aid and development NGOs. This includes overseeing ACFID’s Code of Conduct and ACFID’s engagement in the Global Standard for Civil Society project.
Areas of expertise include strategy development, program planning and evaluation, workshop design and facilitation and standards.
